IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT OCTOBER 2024: NEW BOOKING SYSTEM

SSAB and Sunderland Safeguarding Children Partnership are delighted to announce the launch of our new event booking system.  To access all Sunderland’s training and learning events concerning safeguarding follow this link.

You will now be able to view and book on adults and children’s specific safeguarding courses from one easy to use site.

You will be required to register prior to booking. Please familiarise yourself with the attendance policy before doing so as inappropriate cancellations and non-attendance will result in a fine.

Trainer-led Safeguarding Adults Training

Sunderland Safeguarding Adults Board’s training offer is available to all employees working in health, social care, emergency services, housing, independent sector, care homes and home care service providers and the voluntary, charity and community sector, within Sunderland.  You can read the Course Outlines by clicking on the course names below:

A hybrid model of delivery is now offered, which means you can choose from either a face-to-face in-person training session, or a session delivered online via Microsoft Teams; whichever best suits your circumstances.

Please note these courses may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances – if a date has to be cancelled and rearranged, any delegates booked to attend will be contacted about this.

Trainer-led safeguarding adults training (face-to-face and Microsoft Teams) sessions are charged at £20 per person per session (Sunderland City Council and NHS exclusions apply)  – an invoice will be raised for your organisation after the training has taken place. Please see terms and conditions for further information.

If you have a query about any of the trainer-led Safeguarding Adults training courses, please contact the Council’s Learning & Skills Service, who are responsible for the administration of SSAB’s courses.

Safeguarding E-Learning

SSAB’s e-Learning now offers an expanded range of safeguarding courses which have been commissioned from Virtual College.  It is accessed via an easy self-registration process.  Please only sign up for and complete one course at a time, to enable the courses to be accessible to everyone equally, as the e-learning licences are not unlimited.

You can access the eLearning offer (which is available to access every day, all year round) by registering here.

If you’ve already registered, you can access the log-in page here.

If you have any technical difficulties logging in, there is a help function on the Virtual College website.
